(*) This adapter is made of two separate metal rings, the inner ring can be rotated by loosening the retaining screws (Allen / HEX key provided). This ensures that your lens is always the right way up when connected to the camera, giving you adequate access to the lens aperture and focus controls.
Use: This adapter ring allows manual and ‘auto pin’ M42 screw lenses ( Pentax screw mount ) lenses to be mounted on Fujifilm X mount interchangeable lens system cameras ( i.e. X-Pro1, X-E1, X-M1, X-A1, X-E2, X-T1)

ASAHI TAKUMAR: Please note that because of the lens design, this adapter is -not- compatible with some ASAHI TAKUMAR lenses. The incompatible models have an additional non-standard projecting lever at the back of the lens that prevents them from mounting correctly to flanged adapters
FUJI DSLRs – This adapter is for the Fuji FX mirrorless camera format only and it does not fit older Fuji DSLR cameras (such as the S1, S2 ,S3, S5, IS, etc) which use the Nikon mount.
M42 lenses are manual, that is, focus and aperture need to be set manually from the lens itself. M42 lenses do not have electronics and cannot be electronically from a modern camera. The camera needs to be set to full ‘manual’ mode as autofocus, aperture priority and shutter priority and other programmable modes will not operate correctly with a M42 lens.
Advice to use:
1.With some ring adapters,you have to Turn on ‘shoot without lens’ to use MF lenses with it
2.Some Lens can mount, but be careful with retractable lenses
3.Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or any other functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter.In this case “stop-down mode” will need to be used when metering since the lens does not have the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body. You can shoot with manual mode or aperture priority mode
